In the University Hospital Aachen there are approx. 40 specialist departments and multidisciplinary departments. More than 6,000 employees work here - thereof more than 800 physicians - to restore the health of our patients. Professors, medical specialists and nurses belong to the multi-professional team of each department.

Social workers, speech therapists, psychologists and nurses with additional qualifications as for example wound management or breast care nurses are also available depending on the area of expertise. Central services such as physiotherapy and transfusion medicine support the treatment in the departments. The institutes for microbiology, immunology, virology, clinical chemistry, pathology and neuropathology also ensure the highest standards of diagnostics.
