The prospects in the future of the University Hospital Aachen (UKA) and the Faculty of Medicine of the RWTH Aachen are based upon the combination of constant orientation to the patient, efficient teachings and innovative research.

Engineer and scientific fields of the University of Technology Aachen work therefore closely with the University Hospital. To succeed in all these aims economic acting is a basic condition.The various and differentiated offer of diagnosis and therapy to disease patterns of all severity codes should correspond to the up to date scientifically well founded medicine and technology. In the same manner the individual conveniences and prospects of the patients and their relatives are important. A high culture of the medical responsibility is demanded in this area of conflict.
