Since winter semester 2010/2011 at the Medical Faculty of the RWTH Aachen it is possible to participate in a research-oriented M.D./ Ph.D.-program based on structured theoretical training.

The Aachen M.D./ Ph.D.-program is a three-year project-oriented post-graduate training. Participants who have satisfactorily completed the program are awarded the title of Dr. rer. nat. by the faculty 1 or the title of Dr. rer. medic by the faculty 10.

Per year only five applicants will be elligible for the degree of Dr. rer. nat.

The internal program guarantees intensive personalised supervision of each participant.

The program consists of independent work on a research project as well as structured theoretical training in the form of lectures, seminars and Soft Skill workshops.

Entry requirement is a university degree in medicine or dentistry.

The previous career of the participant has shown a particular aptitude and motivation for academic work (documented by highly qualified doctoral work in medicine or dentistry).
