Pilotproject BMBF

In a unique pilot project, 4 students of the Gymnasium in Alsdorf were able to gain insight into the working world of medical research. The project was initiated by the Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung within the framework of the support for gifted students in order to give committed students an understanding of the world of work in scientific research fields as early as possible. At IMCAR, the students learned the importance of research for cardiovascular diseases both in theory and practice. They were supervised by Dr. Mihaela Rusu and Mrs. Roya Soltan. Dr. Rusu: "The commitment and enthusiasm of the students was extraordinary. We very much hope that many more such projects can be carried out in the future and that the pilot project will also serve as a model for other research areas".
