Tom Clavel appointed as W2 Professor at the Institute of Medical Microbiology, RWTH Aachen Dr. Tom Clavel (PhD) joins the Institute on March 1st as new W2 Professor moving with his group from the ZIEL Institute at the Technical University in Munich. Tom Clavel's work focuses on the enteric microbiota and the functional characterization of the different bacteria that collectively form this complex, dense and dynamic microbial ecosystem. He brings new expertise in microbial research and significantly strengthens our scientific focus. We wish him a sucessful start in Aachen.
