Funding for the new collaborative research initiative „Gut Liver Axis - functional circuits and therapeutic targets in health and disease" by the Interdisciplinary Center for Clinical Research (IZKF) of the Uniklinik RWTH Aachen. 15 groups within the research consortium will work on the interaction of the intestine and the liver during health and disease. Speaker of the initiative is Prof. Mathias Hornef, Institute of Medical Microbiology.
