Thomas Clavel receives ERS funding for his project on „Microfluidic isolation of bacteria from the human gut microbiome“

Thomas Clavel (Functional Microbiome Research Group, Institute of Medical Microbiology) receives ERS funding (OPEN Seed Fund Call 2017) for his project on „Microfluidic isolation of bacteria from the human gut microbiome" in collaboration with Dietrich Kohlheyer (Forschungszentrum Jülich). The project is dedicated to the development of innovative strategies for the discovery of new bacterial diversity and functions, opening new avenues of research at the crossroad between medical and biotechnological applications.
