Prof. Dr. Marcel Schweiker

Marcel Schweiker is full professor and leading the Research and Teaching Area Healthy Living Spaces since April 2020. Before joining RWTH, he was a group leader at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). His background is in architecture, which he studied at Kassel University and Universidad de Europea de Madrid. He holds a PhD in Environmental and Information Sciences from Tokyo City University, and a habilitation in Building Physics and Indoor Climate from KIT. His research deals with interdisciplinary studies on occupant perception, behaviour and adaptive processes. He has leading positions in IEA EBC Annex 69 on adaptive thermal comfort and IEA EBC Annex 79 on occupant behaviour. He is ISIAQ member since 2015 and published conference papers and journal articles in ISIAQ affiliated organs since 2014.
