Advancing neuropathic pain research - Interdisciplinary, translational research on neuropathic pain mechanisms
Welcome on our website! At the Scientific Center for Neuropathic Pain Aachen, we are studying the mechanisms underlying neuropathic pain.
We are dedicated to advancing our understanding of neuropathic pain through interdisciplinary, translational research that bridges basic science and clinical practice. From the initial processes of nociception to the complexities of chronic pain, our research spans in silico modeling, experimental studies, and clinical investigations. By fostering collaboration across disciplines, we provide a foundation for synergy and innovation, bringing together researchers and clinicians to uncover pain mechanisms and develop better treatments. The Scientific Center for Neuropathic Pain Aachen is a collaboration of various institutions at the University Hospital RWTH Aachen, each contributing with different research focuses in the field of neuropathic pain.
