Leonie Ziller successfully defended her MD thesis

On March 17th 2026, Leonie Ziller from the AG Horz successfully defended her MD thesis entitled „Newly isolated Drexlerviridiae phage LAPAZ is physically robust and fosters eradication of Klebsiella pneumoniae in combination with meropenem”. In her work, she isolated and characterized a novel bacteriophage whose genotypic and phenotypic properties make it an especially suitable candidate for phage therapy. Congratulations, Dr Ziller.
