Tele-EMS physician qualification
This continuing education course provides the knowledge, skills, and competencies required from an emergency medical perspective to obtain the qualification "Telenotarzt / Telenotärztin" (Tele-EMS physician).
It qualifies participants to take responsibility for — and, if necessary, make final decisions regarding — the treatment of emergency patients, for example in the context of delegating procedures to on-site paramedics.
The course is delivered in a blended learning format based on the curriculum of the North Rhine Medical Association (Ärztekammer Nordrhein) and the Westphalia-Lippe Medical Association (Ärztekammer Westfalen-Lippe), in cooperation with the Academy for Medical Continuing Education (of both medical associations).
The “Tele-EMS physician Qualification” introduced through this curriculum is a recognized and officially applicable title. It forms the foundation for standardized training of tele-EMS physicians in North Rhine-Westphalia, certified by the North Rhine or Westphalia-Lippe Medical Associations.
