Qualification Profile in Tele-Emergency Medicine

The qualification profile is a continuing education series developed and regularly conducted by staff members of the ARS.

The Qualification Profile in Tele-Emergency Medicine (QP) deepens knowledge in modern emergency medicine with a special focus on telemedicine. With the tele-EMS physician (Telenotarzt) system in Aachen, we have the unique opportunity to experience an early and innovative development in emergency care. This qualification profile explores the benefits, challenges, and specific features of applying tele-emergency medicine in practice. Key topics include patient safety, algorithm-based decision-making, and the integration of telemedicine into modern disaster medicine.

Eligibility requirements

• Medical students at the Medical Faculty of RWTH Aachen University from the 8th semester onwards

  • Interest in pre-hospital emergency medicine and innovative telemedical solutions

  • Students with prior experience in emergency medical services may be eligible to participate earlier, subject to individual consultation.
