New spokesperson for translational neurosciences

Prof. Angelika Lampert is the new spokesperson for the Translational Neurosciences research focus at the Faculty of Medicine at RWTH Aachen University. The head of the Institute of Neurophysiology will now lead the focus area together with Prof. Jörg Schulz, who acts as deputy spokesperson.

The research focus Translational Neuroscience combines clinical and basic scientific research in the areas of neurodegeneration and plasticity, motor function, sensory function, emotion and cognition as well as neuronal excitability. The aim of this research focus is to develop innovative therapies for neurological diseases. The research approaches include a variety of methods, from molecular approaches to clinical studies.
