Participation in the study: LundT (Summer version)

The way we perceive the environment as human beings affects how we interact with the building, and in turn, this affects the energy consumption of the building. Despite the attention given to indoor comfort, there is little knowledge about the interaction of light and temperature. This question is addressed by a new study of the T&RA Healthy Living Spaces (ukaachen.de) of the Institute of Occupational, Social and Environmental Medicine at the University Hospital RWTH Aachen in cooperation with 6 partners worldwide, for which voluntary and healthy student participants are sought. The study will run until the beginning of August.

You will be in our Aachen workplace simulation system, a modern office space near Pontstraße, for two hours. Physiological responses such as changes in skin temperature as well as heart rate activity will be measured by wearing non-invasive measuring devices. Participation will take place on two non-consecutive days in the morning. On these days, you will be free to pursue your own assignments for a portion of the study time. After successful participation and completion of the two days, you will receive an expense allowance worth €60. Any travel expenses incurred are to be borne by you.
