GLOBAL WALK AGAINST PAIN 2026: 2,253 kilometres for greater visibility of chronic pain
The event brought together people from different countries and diverse backgrounds. Alongside people living with chronic pain, participants included family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, as well as researchers. Together, they sent a visible message of greater awareness and understanding for people living with chronic pain.
The initiative was organised by Prof. Angelika Lampert (Uniklinikum RWTH Aachen, Germany), Prof. Rajesh Khanna (University of Florida, USA), and Prof. Reza Sharif (McGill University, Canada).
The wide age range of participants was particularly remarkable: the youngest participant was just three months old and joined the walk in Florida, while the oldest participant, in Montréal, was 87 years old.
All results and photos from the events worldwide can be found on the official website: GLOBAL WALK AGAINST PAIN. More information on the Aachener edition of can be found here.
Following the great success of this year's walk, the date for the next edition has already been announced: September 18, 2027
