DFG-funding for spinning disc confocal microscope received

The Institute of Neuropathology(Jun.-Prof. Dr. Dr. Juliane Bremer and Univ.-Prof. Dr. Joachim Weis) together with the Institute for Human Genetics and Genomic Medicine (Univ.-Prof. Dr. I. Kurth) and the Institute for Cell and Tumor Biology (Dr. A. Sechi) received funding from the German Research Foundation (DFG) in the “Major Research Instrumentation” programme for a spinning disc confocal microscope with an ablation and FRAP laser as well as a dual camera system. This will allow us to perform modern in vivo imaging and manipulation in real time in cultured cells and zebrafish.
