Selection criteria

• Work on microsurgical research to be presented at the ISEM Congress
• Submission of an application that includes:
  • accompanying letter
  • curriculum vitae
  • certificate/support letter from Program director or scientific supervisor confirming applicant’s position
  • copy of the submitted congress abstract
  • extended, 4-page summary of the work to be presented (figures and references allowed)

The application must be sent to the congress president: and will be evaluated by the scientific committee. The scientific committee’s decision cannot be appealed.

Application Deadline: 31th January 2027 (same as the official abstracts submission deadline of the congress).

Gala dinner can be provided for winners.

• Age under 35 (residents, PhD students, postdoctral researchers)
• Work on microsurgical research to be presented at the ISEM Congress

One winner will be selected from the aplicants for the best abstract.
The final decision will be made by the May 2027 (from ISEM Board Members) based on the application and the live presentation at the Congress.

The Robert Zhong Award includes an official certificate 500 USD.
