Lâl Era Aydoğan studied Genetics and Bioengineering at the Engineering Faculty of Yeditepe University (Istanbul, Turkey) and earned a Master’s in Biochemistry from LIMES (Life & Medical Sciences) Institute of the University of Bonn. Her interdisciplinary experience in bioengineering, tissue engineering, genetic engineering, molecular biology, multi-omics, and bioinformatics has shaped her translational research vision. She joined Prof. Medyouf's lab, recognizing a rare opportunity to integrate her background and vision to advance translational cancer and rare disease research. Her work focuses on engineering systems-level approaches and applying advanced techniques—such as induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), 3D tumor microenvironment models, and RNA sequencing—which aligns perfectly with her research interests and goals. Outside the lab, she enjoys discovering new experiences, whether spending time with her dog, family, and friends, volunteering, doing sports, singing, reading, or travelling.
