Alina Bachmann successfully defended her PhD

Congratulations to Alina Bachmann. She defended successfully her PhD thesis entitled “Host Pathogen Interaction in a novel in vivo model of EPEC infection” on February 22^nd 2024.  In this work, she tested a number of clinical isolates of enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) collected in a worldwide field study on diarrheal disease in children in a controlled preclinical model and found surprising differences in the pathogenicity.
