What is the study about?
Have you ever noticed a sudden draft, a change in lighting, or a new sound in your office and wondered how it affects your comfort throughout the day? This study aims to understand how brief, momentary changes in environmental conditions (like temperature, light, sound, and air quality) in shared office spaces influence your comfort over longer time spans such as a day and a week.
What would participation involve?
If selected for participation, your involvement would include:
- A kick-off session where we will explain the study, answer your questions, obtain your written consent for participation and provide you with sensors.
- Data collection for two weeks
- wearing sensors
- filling out questionnaires (not more than 25 minutes per day spread throughout the day)
- A final 30-min closing interview online or in-person to discuss your experiences.
Why should you participate?
- Compensation: You will receive €60 as a thank you for completing the entire study.
- Contribute to science: Your participation will help us design better and healthier workspaces in the future.
- Convenience: The study is designed to fit into your normal work routine in your own office.
