2026 PAULA teaching award: recognition for excellence in teaching

Once again this year, medical students at RWTH Aachen University have honored their most outstanding instructors. Prof. Dr. Angelika Lampert, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Stefan Gründer (Institute of Physiology), and Prof. Dr. Tim H. Brümmendorf (Klinik für Onkologie, Hämatologie und Stammzelltransplantation (Med. Klinik IV)) were nominated for the PAULA Teaching Award (“Award for Excellence in University Teaching Presented by Aachen’s Medical Students”) for the best lectures. All three were particularly pleased with the students’ laudatory remarks, which skillfully highlighted how the honorees inspire their students with extraordinary dedication and excellent teaching methods.

The Institute of Neurophysiology congratulates all three faculty members on their recognition and, in particular, Prof. Gründer on winning the PAULA Teaching Award. These honors underscore the high value placed on excellent teaching at the RWTH Aachen University School of Medicine.
